Is it just me, or does Thanksgiving feel like it was ages ago? We made a game-time decision to escape the Colorado snow in Mexico last week. No pecan pie this year — just an unconventional turkey day dinner of honey butter biscuits and short rib at Acre, followed by hot churros from a roadside cart.
Last year, I holidayed a little too hard too early, so this time around, I waited until closer to Thanksgiving to deck the halls. In our household, though, when it’s on, it’s on. We’re in full twinkly lights, Feu De Bois, and Ralph Lauren Christmas mode until January 1.
My Spotify Wrapped this week was deeply uninteresting and basic as hell — my most listened to music was Rufus Du Sol, TSwift, and Debussy. If Substack gift guides are a vehicle to showcase your taste, class, and curatorial skill, then my Spotify Wrapped could be considered a vehicle to showcase what a musical sheep I am.
Needless to say, I won’t be sharing that here or anywhere. But it did inspire today’s letter — a look back of sorts at the last year of writing my little newsletter.

My dream wool coat — possibly my favorite purchase of the year. I unfortunately got melted Haagen Dazs all over it at Wicked last night because I am a child who can’t eat in the dark. Also, I need to know who else got it in the comments so we can discuss.
Polywood table (this is interesting…)

It’s been a really lovely year of writing this letter — even if my husband asks me “what are you even doing on your laptop?” at least 3-5x a week when I’m burning hours rewriting a letter or churning out a mediocre graphic in Canva. Thank you for reading, heart-ing, and leaving little notes each week — it truly means so much to me.
